I was torn at first whether to hire a videographer, and kept putting it on the back burner. Thankfully I found John (somewhat last minute) and after getting my teaser video I am so happy I hired him! The morning after the wedding I felt like I missed a lot of the night, but seeing the 'next day' teaser instantly put me at ease, it came out beautifully and I can't wait to see the full length video!! John was a pleasure to work with, and most of the time I hardly noticed his team was there, so I am sure he captured some great candid moments!

My husband and I received our wedding video from John two weeks ago, only three months after our wedding! I can't make enough great comments about WeddingStories! The video was incredible! Not only was the visual, music, and quality exceptional but John captured EXACTLY how my we felt that day. I have watched our video every night since he delivered it and I sob every time. John's song selection is amazing. His love for his craft is infectious. I pray that every bride will receive the kind of video my husband and I got from WeddingStories.

I decided at the last minute to book a videographer for our wedding, attempting to surprise my husband with it. John was great at getting back to me and even willing to keep up the charade when my husband called to see if we was available for our wedding day (after I had already booked him!). On the day of the wedding, I didn’t even know he was shooting most of the time, as he remained unobtrusive. He was professional and personable (I didn’t meet him until the day of the wedding). A few days after the wedding, John posted a teaser on Facebook with a music video-like clip of some of the highlights of our reception. I was absolutely blown away by what he was able to do with some of the footage he had shot! It truly looked like something that should be on MTV! I am so looking forward to receiving my video so I can see the rest of his amazing work.

As a professional photographer in Rhode Island, I knew all the best wedding professionals when I got engaged. John from WeddingStories was the filmmaker we just had to have. The moment I met John, his aura & energy was simply inspiring. WS offers DSLR films, which was super important to me as an artist. As a photographer, I have first hand experience working side-by-side with videographers. Most simply shoot over the photographer's shoulder but John meets with his clients and gets to know them to create a concept that tells the bride & groom's story. His unique ideas create films that are truly enjoyable to watch. John is talented, passionate and hardworking. John and his team at WeddingStories did an amazing job on our wedding day. Ours is a unique situation but the results were incredible. John was hired by our photographer to film a promotional video and tagged along on our wedding day to capture some footage of her in action. In return we were gifted an amazing same day edit of our wedding day. The video was a complete surprise, and was shown at the reception. For someone who planned each minute of her wedding day and thought I knew exactly what to expect, this threw me for an amazing surprise! Looking back on it, I should have hired a videographer for our wedding day and am extremely lucky to have this wonderful video. Anyone on the fence about hiring a videographer should do so, and you should hire John!! John and his team are complete professionals that worked seamlessly with us all day. All of our friends still talk about the video and we've caught many of them listening to the song you chose. I swear only half of the 900 hits our video has received is me!! We had met with a lot of videographers before finally booking John. We knew when we met him that he would be a great addition to our list of vendors. He showed us what he had to offer and price wise he was affordable and was willing to work with us on what our package included and was willing to do. Two months before our wedding I decided to contact John because I had not heard from him in months. After numerous attempts to reach him I found out from a business associate of his that John had been MIA for months and had received numerous negative reviews on bridal sites from disgruntled brides who had been trying to contact him to retrieve their wedding videos. Two months before my wedding i was completely freaking out as I had already given John a deposit as he requested. Finally mere weeks before the wedding John resurfaced and somehow pursuaded us to stick with him and give him a shot, so we did because how would I now find another videographer weeks before the most important day of my life. At first, everything seemed fine, with John posting a 3 minute clip days after our wedding. Late Summer came around and he finally presented us with a copy of our video which we looked over and decided we wanted very few minor changes. John promised he would fix the changes and it wouldnt be long. It has now been almost 8 months since John told us he would revise the video. Everytime I would contact him he would continuously say just give me another week, or another few weeks. I was continuously blown off. March 2nd I spoke with John who promised me he would finished with my wedding video before the month was over. April 1st came around and I had not heard from him so since then I have been sending emails, texts, and calling John at all phone numbers I have for him. I also left him a comment on his business FB Page. Shortly after, I went back to check if he had responded to my comment and he had deleted/blocked me off his FB account!!!!!! Since then I have kept calling and emailing and i have not had one response from John. This videographer has my $2900 as well as MY wedding video from the most important day of my life and he refuses to contact me and give me my finished product that I have paid for. He is notorious for sweet talking you and pursuading you into trusting him as me and my husband were. We paid him the money as detailed in our contract and now he has disappeared with our wedding video. This is one of the absolute worst vendors I have ever worked with. I cannot imagine any other bride dealing with this type of situation and not having the memories they have paid for. We hired WeddingStories to record our wedding in the Fall of 2010. It’s now been over 15 months since our wedding and we still have not received the video we paid in full for as outlined in our contract. This past year WeddingStories went through some significant problems with video delivery, to the point where they were unresponsive to emails, phone calls, etc for over 5 months. Through various efforts, my wife and I found almost 15 other couples in the same situation. Ultimately, many couples had to wait at least 11 months to get their video and it took a significant effort from a large group of the affected couples to get him to create and deliver the videos. We were able to secure raw footage that was taken by this vendor and were extremely disappointed to see the quality of the video. Sections of the video were color cast (weird color hues), the camera was significantly tilted, there were sections that were extremely shaky, etc...which are things that cannot be fixed through post production editing. We've been going back and forth with this vendor for months, and most recently, they have started blaming computer problems as the reason they cannot deliver our final video. They claim to be working diligently to resolve the problem, but that's gone on for over 8 weeks now. Since your wedding is a once in a life time event, we definitely regret having hired this vendor. It's very frustrating having to continue to deal with not having our video almost a year and a half after we were married. There are many other trustworthy videographers in this area, so I would recommend using anyone other than WeddingStories.

Do not use this vendor! Our wedding was in Sept of last year and have not heard from John- we've reached out many times (via phone and email) and nothing- its been 6 months! There are many other couples that are in the same situation right now and I urge you to avoid Wedding Stories!

I am in absolute LOVE with my wedding video! WeddingStories was a great choice for our wedding because we had so much going on all day, between sailing on my fathers boat to the aisle, us saying our vows that we wrote, special songs in the ceremony, opening number dance that I choreographed with my wedding party, fireworks during the cake cutting, and showing off my family's musical talents between singing, playing guitar, drums, you name it!!! It was one heck of a celebration, and Wedding Stories captured it all. During all of this, I never noticed a "cameraman", they were extremely professional, easy going, and out of the way of the guests and entertainment. We did receive our video a bit late, BUT it was almost meant to be and worth every penny because once we digested the incredible wonderful time we had, we were able to relive it again! Wedding Stories even shared a few videos on my Facebook for my friends and family to see. I am more than thrilled with the quality and even more happier that I get to relive all the special moments over and over again. If you know that your wedding is going to be off-the-chain fun, exciting, and extremely memorable, then go with Wedding Stories, you will not regret a thing!

The reason that WeddingStories is deserving of so many awards is that their final product is superior! John is a true video professional who knows exactly how to create the wedding keepsake that every bride dreams of. I hired him to shoot my daughter Meredith’s wedding in Newport on July 18, 2010. The video is fantastic! Not only has he captured the overall excitement and feeling of the wedding and reception, he managed to get every detail without ever being in the way. In fact, I wasn’t even aware of him or his assistant being at the wedding at all – and this was a big concern for me. The full length video is beautifully presented and well organized with various chapters dividing the key events of the day. However, John’s true masterful work is evident in the Wedding Highlight video and how he edited hours worth of video into a exceptional few minutes of perfectly choreographed music and action. A true masterpiece! While John’s exceptionally busy schedule kept me waiting longer than I had originally anticipated, the final result was well worth the wait. If my second daughter ever decides to get married, I’d hire John in an instant.

We only got married lesss than a month ago, so we have not seen my final video from our wedding. My overall experience working with John in the planning process was great. For the quality of work he does, his prices are a bargain. He was really organized and responsive.

John from wedding stories created my video from my wedding in July. He was professional and responsive in all of the conversations/meetings prior to the wedding. I also feel that he offered great prices for the coverage that we received. On the day of the wedding, his assistant (who shot the actual footage) was great, we didn't even notice that he was there. The final video came out beautiful! Every detail of our wedding was captured and the editing was amazing. It did take longer to arrive than expected, but it was worth the wait. Believe me, worse things could happen than simply waiting a few extra months for a video, try having a photographer that did not show up!

I haven’t seen my final video yet since my wedding was only a couple weeks ago, but my experience with John in the planning process was great. For the quality of work he does, his prices are a bargain. He was really organized and responsive. On the day of the wedding, John and his assistant were very inconspicuous. I really forgot I was being filmed the whole time, which is great because I act really awkward when I know I’m being taped. We are so excited to see the video! Overall I was really impressed.

John is an absolute professional and responds quickly to email and phone calls. He is organized and helpful and such fun to be around. On our wedding day he brought his assistant with him who was also hilarious and fun. I forget his name but I know it will come back to me! John was so easy to be around and I never even knew he was taking video of us. He stayed longer than our contract because he said our reception was too fun to leave! I can’t wait to see the video! I had an extremely positive experience with Wedding Stories. I was very pleased with the quality of John's work. It is quite obvious he takes great pride in his work and strives for perfection. I would definitely recommend Wedding Stories to anyone looking for a videographer.

John was another one that we clicked with as soon as we met him! We had a great first meeting with him and knew we�d book with him after that meeting. His style is exactly what we were looking for and his personality clinched the deal for us! He�s so upbeat and fun to be around, which is exactly what you want when they will be with you for your entire wedding day! He came along to one of our TTD sessions with our photog and made a fabulously fun TTD video (below) which also gave us a chance to work with him before the big day. The week of the wedding, we spoke on the phone for about 30 minutes going over every detail � it was so calming and helpful! We had booked him for 10 hours with 2 videographers�.he ended up showing up with 3 videographers @ 10 a.m. and ended up having one of them stay all the way until midnight! They were not in our face at ALL; at times we forgot there were even 3 video cameras there pointing at us! I have all the confidence that our final wedding video will be absolutely amazing!

I can't say enough about John from Wedding Stories. My wedding video was amazing, he truly captured the day without us noticing him. He has such a wonderful, energetic demeanor. You can tell he truly loves his job!! I highly recommend him.

My preview video makes me cry every single time I see it. And it makes my most hardened friends tear up too. I went to see John almost a year before my wedding, and told him I hate most wedding videos, but I liked one particular style. I showed him what I liked, he said it was something different, but that he could do it. Sure enough, he came through, and it is so far above and beyond my expectations. He came to my house two days before the wedding to take preview shots and to interview my family for the voiceovers. He was incredibly patient with my horrible communication and was unfailingly kind. He was at my house early to film on the day of the wedding. He got so many details. His second shooter, Cory, was equally awesome. I cannot wait to see the actual video, since my wedding day flew by and I know I missed a thousand moments. But I know that John captured those moments and for that peace of mind, I am so grateful. If you are in doubt over whether you need a videographer, get John. Make room in your budget. You'll be so glad you did. Update: I got my full wedding video, and we LOVE it! John captured every single important moment, and even little moments that I had missed. John did an amazing job editing the video, and has truly created a keepsake of our day. Weddingstories has won Best of on the Knot, and it is truly well deserved!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!! Wedding Stories did a fabulous job of capturing the essence and emotion of my Wedding Day. I was in such a daze all day with excitement and it was such a pleasure to play the video of my day and re live every moment. The video brought tears to my eyes. I recommend this vendor for anyone who wants a video that really brings to life your special day.

Wedding Stories made our wedding even more special. We booked John, through word of mouth and we couldnt have been happier. He made our wedding a fairytale and the video he produced was flawless. Not to mention, he dropped it off in our mailbox on Christmas Eve; talk about service. John is very professional and will do anything to make your day special. He is a great guy to work with and really knows how to make your video unique. Wedding Stories is the BEST!!!!!!
